Accessibility

Version 0.2 · updated October 22, 2026 · All versions

Our goal

We want everyone to be able to use Class Speedrun, including with a keyboard only, a screen reader, zoom, voice control or reduced motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

WCAG is the main public checklist for making websites usable by people with disabilities. Version 2.2 is the latest, and level AA is the middle of its three levels, the one most laws and schools point to.

That's a goal we test against, not a promise that every part already meets it.

What we do

Colors are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast in light and dark mode. Buttons and other controls are at least 44 pixels tall. Every screen is meant to work with a keyboard and show where you are. Motion is short, and the app follows your device's reduce-motion setting (there's also a Reduce motion switch on the Account page).

We check pages with axe, a free tool that scans a page for common accessibility mistakes. We run it in light and dark mode, at laptop and phone sizes.

We also check the public pages using only a keyboard, and we reviewed the code for keyboard use in the app's main steps.

We don't use an accessibility overlay or widget. Fixes go into the app itself.

Known issues

We haven't yet tested every screen with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack). Some visual details, like progress bars and topic labels, may read less clearly than they look.

The sign-in robot check, when it's switched on, comes from Cloudflare. If it blocks you, use the Contact page and we'll help you sign in another way.

Files you upload are shown as the text we read from them. If a scanned page or photo couldn't be read, its text may be missing or out of order.

The example on the home page plays a short animation once (about 6 seconds). It doesn't play if your device asks for reduced motion, and you can replay it, but there's no pause button yet.

Tell us about a problem

Email help@classspeedrun.ai with "Accessibility" in the subject, or use the Contact page.

Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what you use (for example a screen reader, keyboard or zoom), if you're comfortable sharing. A real person aims to answer within about 5 business days. If something blocks you, we'll help you get it done another way while we fix it.
