Cookie Notice
Version 0.3 · updated October 22, 2026 · All versions
The short version
- We set two cookies, both needed to keep you signed in. No ad cookies, no tracking cookies, nothing from other sites.
- Page views are counted without cookies, and not at all if your browser sends Global Privacy Control.
- Your browser keeps a few app settings on your device. Signing out or deleting everything clears them.
- That's why there's no cookie banner: nothing here needs your permission.
What your browser keeps (not cookies)
The last school you typed, the classes for quick hint capture, which tips you've already seen, and hints saved while you were offline.
Which study rounds you've finished for each exam (saved as cs.rounds. plus the exam's id), so free study picks up where you left off.
Which exam reminders you hid (saved as cs.reportBanner. plus the exam's id), so a hidden "How did it go?" reminder stays hidden.
Which parts of the app this browser has already reached, like your first ranked list (saved as cs.found. plus the feature's name). It only stops us counting the same first visit twice.
Signing out or deleting everything clears all of these.
Your Reduce motion and keyboard shortcut settings. These stay after you sign out, because they're settings for this device.
A copy of the app and of recent pages, so it opens offline. Signing out clears the page copies.
Counting page views
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies. Vercel says it tells visits apart with a scrambled code made from each request, which it throws away after 24 hours. Before a page address is sent, we remove class and exam ids and anything after a "?".
If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, it sends us no page-view counts at all.
